Question by Lauren658: Christmas in the northeast??

Vermont, or even the Berkshire mountains in Massachusetts are great. My sister has some rental houses in Ludlow, VT. There are a lot of rental houses there, and they are cheap at Christmas time, since many folks don’t go on vacation.
The drive from NYC is about 2 hours – you could drive to Albany, NY then drive to some place in that area of Vermont, spend Christmas, then drive to NYC and drop off the car at NY (or to save money drive the hour or two to Albany at the end).
Vermont really is beautiful. All seasons.
There are a lot of places in Vermont. There are many small towns with B&B’s. I live in Fair Haven, Vermont. THer are many B&B’s around me . Some of them are the Haven Guesthouse in Fair Haven, The Bently House in Poultney, and the Maple Wood Inn in Fair Haven. Check out the websites below. If I can help you any more, let me know, I will be glad to help.
