First off, I would not take a child to Las Vegas, it is not a place for children, but if you have to go, the Paris is nice and also we are staying in the Riveria in April. If money is no object the Bellagio or the Palms would be nice. As for things to do, the Red Rock Canyon is nice and also the Hoover Dam

Try swavacations.com. Southwest Airlines has most of the cheapest flights to Las Vegas, depending on where you’re coming from. As far as activities…I’m not quite sure on that. I’ve lived here almost 18 years and I still don’t know what kind of family activities there are. You will probably want to rent a car. The bus system in Vegas isn’t so great.
The best deal on the strip is the Stratosphere. You can usually get deals for 3 nights plus airfare for $ 200 per person. If you want to upscale a little bit try Bally’s or Excalibur. Both have some good deals for the holidays. A couple of good resources are http://www.southwestairlines.com and http://www.lasvegas.com. There are tons of things to do from Roller coasters (several) to old time Vegas shows. The dining is great, but the upscale restaurants are very pricey. If you stick to the coffee shops in the casinos, you can eat great cheap. Buffets are also a good bet in Vegas. Bally’s and The Rio having the best. Good Luck and have fun.

You could go shopping at the Forum Shops – Caesars Palace – they have an FAO Schwartz(sp?), Disney Store, Warner Bros..You might see something you like at Harry Winston’s
We started taking our little girl when she was 3, we also took a babysitter with us, it wasn’t hard to talk (cousin-grandma-friend) into a free trip to LV in exchange for a little babysitting time…We all had a much better time this way…
Take in some of the free spectacles:
The Fountains of Bellagio
Fremont Street Experience
Volcano/White Tigers/etc-Mirage
Lion Habitat – MGM – the handlers keep the lions active
Sunset Stampede – Sam’s Town – the Mystic Falls park is very cool, kind of a romantic spot..
Fall of Atlantis/Festival Fountain – Forum Shops>Caesars
Sirens of TI – Treasure Island
Masquerade show in the Sky – Rio
you should stay somewhere close to the strip so you guys can go and walk around for awile. Since you have your baby make sure you have a stroller or get a rental car to drive the strip. Its a long walk!! Stay at one of the casinos or on the outskirts of the strip like one of the marriotts or something
I agree with the first poster. I wouldn’t take a small child to Vegas. You are going to work more than you have fun. I was just there and I swear, all the parents I saw, lugging strollers and having to wrestle with small kids, they didn’t look like they were enjoying themselves at all. I am sure you could find someplace you guys would like better suited for a 20 month old to be along. I am not trying to be mean just trying to save you stress.
