My school ends around the 23rd of December and I am thinking traveling to China, destination is Shang Hai from New York. Where and when is best place to purchase the air ticket.

Check out the flights on kayak.com, then compare the prices to the actual airline websites. Try using flexible dates, and close by airports to find the best deal.

I will be travelling at the end of december and returning around the end of may 2009 for an exchange program to finland. Where can I get the cheapest flight? I already went through kayak and travelocity and it costs around 1250. Is there any other place where I could find some cheaper deals.

That’s actually a very good price for flying (a) during the holidays and (b) returning in high season. I doubt that you will find anything cheaper.

You might consider using Orbitz, which now has “price assurance;” if someone gets a lower price on the flight, they will refund that difference to you.

I’m wanting to go back to my exchange city (Osaka, Japan) as soon as possible.
I probably won’t be able to afford it till August, so sometime around then or during December (my winter break for college)
I’m looking for a good package deal for flight and hotel for me and my boyfriend to go. Does anyone know a good way to go about doing this that they can find it for a good price?
Has anyone done this before? I’m wanting to stay at least 6 or 7 nights. the more for an affordable price, the better. I’m kind of new to this type of thing…

Prices depend on your travel dates. US$ 700, all included, is probably a good deal in December.

Try Travelocity: it usually offers the cheapest tickets.

Try also Opodo (prices in British pounds) for flexible dates since flexible dates do not work at Travelocity for international flights.

the second most expansive days to travel (after Thanskgiving). Good luck.

Right now it is about $ 570 with Delta

JFK-LAX on the 24th or 25th
LAS-JFK on the 1st
